Perseverance Rover 2025. Artificial intelligence is helping scientists to identify minerals within rocks studied by the perseverance rover. As of october 2024, the rover has driven over 30 kilometers (18.65 miles), and has collected 24 samples of rock and regolith as well as one air sample.
Perseverance is the first leg of a round trip to mars. The goal of the mission is to seek signs of ancient life.
